ABOUT

Emerson Silveira was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  As a young man, Emerson always looked for opportunities to grow himself and add value in all the ventures he participated in.   He moved to NYC in February 1992.  Emerson studied Computer Science and Design at Parsons University in NYC.  He participated in multiple startup ventures in the very competitive fine dining industry in Manhattan.  Emerson moved back to Sao Paulo in 2002 to be closer to his family.  While in Brazil, he studied marketing at Anhembi Morumbi in Sao Paulo.  Emerson worked at building his personal brand as a successful entrepreneur.  His efforts paid off when he launched the first Brazilian national restaurant event called Restaurant Week (2005 – 2013).  He quickly became the darling of the restaurant industry nationally and regionally in the southern hemisphere.  As a result, he became a partner with the fastest growing restaurant investment group, Restorando.com (Argentinian). In January 2015 Emerson moved to Boca Raton, Florida to work for ACT as the Business Development Director for the Americas. Currently, he is the International Business Development Director for K12 International, covering Latin America (LatAm), India, and parts of Asia (except China).  Emerson brings to the table ten years of experience successfully opening markets in LatAm and India, as well as 22 years of hospitality and service industry in all of the Americas.  Today Emerson brings his years of education industry experience (distance/ blended learning, K-12/higher education) opening education markets globally.  The cornerstone of what Emerson adds to any discussion or group has always been based on customer focus, new product development, and global partner development. His passions are his family (wife of 17 years and a 11-year-old son), martial arts, food and beverage, cars and autosports.
